We raise two different types of chickens at LBJ Farms and seasonally raise heritage breed turkeys (please contact us if you are interested.)
Our eggs come from happy, healthy hens who forage on pasture without added hormones or antibiotics. You may notice different colored shells from the different breeds of hens, but they also tend to have a deeper yellow yolk (and delicious flavor!)
Our broiler (meat) chickens also enjoy fresh pasture through daily rotation around the farm.
We are permitted and regulated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services- Limited Poultry and Egg Operation.
